There is some indication that this station may have been named for a member of the Board named "Bliss" who may have been involved with original financing the construction of the line......

It sure did look a lot like Altadena, at first, to me, as well. But, there was no "Bliss" station north of Altadena Drive on Lake, or on the private ROW to the Canyon and the incline. But, it certainly didn't look anywhere close to a place a train would have ran on the G&M.

I remember the "new" PE layover yard on Glen Oaks before they abandoned the line, I must have been four or five at the time....just before they abandoned service. I loved going to Glendale with my dad, since they still had real "streetcars" (PCC's no less) on Brand.
