So what's the big advantage of interchanging with BNSF at Grand Junction? Couldn't they do it just as easily at Helper or someplace closer to the vicinity of their pre-merger "home rails"?

The only advantage I can see is that, I guess, Grand Junction has a bigger yard than Helper or Provo.
