SP attempted to market extra microwave circuits in competition with AT&T. Their prices were about 25% of what AT&T would charge for the same service. I priced service from San Francisco to Los Angeles for some radio broadcasts but remained with AT&T because SP could not provide repairs 24/7 in case of circuit problems or make emergency re-routing with no advance notice.
