Good call Ron. 2nd St. dead-ended at the tracks until the early 60's. There were also two spurs across highway 101 into the 60's. Online article indicates that the Rice crossing was built in mid 60's at the same time as 2nd. Street was extended across the train tracks. It also says that there were crossings of Irwin and Francisco extant at that time. I think in those days, Irwin connected to the freeway onramp south of Mahon Creek.
