I guess a lot has to do with the xxxxx (censored) FRA regulations, more or less forcing such a front. You might compare this with other high power diesel units by Vossloh (now Stadler Espaņa), or any other 200 km/h locomotive out there.

I agree, "good looking" is something else.

We will see how well those units perform (and, that's primarily what matters).
