The oil clean-up in Skykomish is starting again. If you want to see the depot in its current location the time is now. It will be picked up and placed at a storage location soon. The plan calls for it to then be placed back on the south side of the tracks and for it to become a community building, however, this will take over a year.

Other buildings scheduled to move this summer are the Whistling Post tavern and the McEvoy home. Lots of dirt movement and construction activity are scheduled this summer. The crossing will be closed during the day for construction truck use only. A new crossing will be established for the public one block west for day use. The plan calls for it to be controlled by flagers during daytime.
