Both Indonesia and Saudi Arabia gave me the equivalent of a H-1B. Heck, the Saudis ended up giving me grade 12, step 40 civil service status. And me a US citizen, not of their country.

I don't have a pension either. Pretty common with engineers (just for clarity: not engine drivers) as we are problem solvers. When the problem goes away so does the job. So we have to save up for our old age.
