Forgot to mention that they dynamited the baggage car, killing a brakeman (don't know whether this was the head man or TBM).
In the 1970s/1980s, I knew someone who had worked for Kriebel in the valuation (or auditing) department in the 1960s. He said that there was a widow somewhere in Oregon whose husband had been killed on the RR and took a lifetime stipend in settlement rather than a lump sum (a very wise move). Apparently her file would grow and grow, requiring periodic pruning into some archive in the catacombs. We go to discussing this one day and reached the conclusion that this person was that brakeman's widow.
One of the D'Autremonts was captured in Australia, the other while serving in the US Army (forget when for each).
