I was there in 67-69 as an Engineer. 714th TBROS&DE. Co, "C" . There were a lot of trainmen from the SP. Also some from the NYC, Penn, C&O, Santa Fe, and even small pikes throughout the country.

I still see one or two on line and at the SLO, BBQ. There was Chuck Green a LA switchmen, Tom Negrete a Coast Conductor, lots more than I can recall. I still have the old C&O switch key we used on post and at Lee Hall for all the Adlake locks. I still have a shoulder pins that shows a steam engine, a signal and the words, "Thru At Any Cost"
