Where I said "think Washington Metro here", it would have been better stated as "think Washington Metro syndrome here", meaning their "lack of safety and proper maintenance" culture.

BARTD uses (or used to) air ride suspension, so why add another complete system when all you have to do is buy a slightly larger air compressor and use air operated calipers?
