Mosquitos between Prince George and Tacheeda, BC were by far the worst.

A very memorable insect experience happened to my wife and I one of the few times I actually cajoled her to venture out on a hike. We were up on the SP (by then UP) Cascade line. We parked at Fields and hiked to the west siding switch by tunnel 15 to wait for a meet. While waiting there we noticed these very small gold colored butterflies were very interested in us so we remained very still. Very soon after that we each had 10-15 butterflies on our arms, apparently acquiring our sweat as it was a hot day. Very memorable.
