17 miles from Lake Yard to Tigard Yard, via the UP.

48 miles via P&W and Cornelius Pass.

Too bad they can't just route it via Garden Home like the ol' days.

Willsburg to Salem is negligible in terms of distance, the UP is theoretically faster, but UP doesn't exactly give P&W priority handling, and the OE isn't exactly congested railroad. That said, there's no passing sidings on the OE, either...at least not south of Wilsonville. And the interchange track in Salem is very sharp.
