One curious thing about this: the entire route, even if extended to Denver, would be within Colorado. So why isn't this being done as a state-supported train? Or is it, and we just don't know all the details yet? Otherwise, a Pueblo-La Junta stub looks like a no-brainer bus feeder but not a train.
