OERM's historic purview has nothing to do with Wichita Falls, to say nothing of north central Texas. There are other Texas-based organizations which could benefit from acquiring WFRM's collection.

Notwithstanding, Texas-based rail historian Steve Goen has documented the goings-on at WFRM (he was once a WFRM member) which led to the museum's present condition.
