To paraphrase: a bunch of "bubbas" took over the museum's board some years back and has driven the museum spiraling down into its current state: lack of workers, shortage of money, and a dearth of dynamic leadership by the current regime. Original founders, donors, and worker bees were all driven away.
Therein, lies the tale.
