How was the two minute clip going to be used? It may seem greedy to insist on that kind of payment but it depends on the circumstances. Companies are entitled to a fair return on their intellectual property that they have spent a lot of money on development. If it was for a commercial venture $4000 doesn't seem like a lot of money. How as the clip going to be used by Greg? If it was for a one time use at some kind of railfan convention or in a documentary done by students or a non-profit that didn't have a huge budget maybe they would have negotiated a lower rate. I've seen the opening of the movie on You Tube with the train arriving at the pier. Is this what you were referring to?.
