Would those old Santa Fe cars pass the squeeze test themselves? For that matter, would the Superliners pass it, considering how old THEY are? Possibly not, if the test has been updated since they were built. Has it?

I heard about the failure of the new car some time back. Have to wonder about Nippon Sharyo failing this time, since they seemed to do OK on the original Caltrain cars ... though again that was a long time ago and the test might not have been as stringent for them either.

Have the test results actually been published in any kind of detail? If the new cars have CEM it would be interesting to see if that might have compromised something.
