There was a last track.. don't know if it was 14 or one not numbered that continued past the Doggie Diner across the street from the Fourth Street station and on to the State Belt tracks. The track may have been outside of the station. I believe in the late 70's or maybe early 80's SP considered running a couple of peak a.m. trains on to the Ferry Building. During the Bi-centennial They moved a display train of SP engine and bi-level cars painted red white and blue along with other WP and UP cars to the freight tracks just north of the old State Belt Round House. The Flying Scotsman briefly ran on that track from Fisherman's wharf down to the station but people on Telegraph Hill didn't like it. The Freedom Train also used that track to get to Ft Mason and Muni briefly ran car 578 with a generator on that track to demonstrate a future E line
