The last paragraph is a very interesting statement.

In this case, a pilot can not become part of a crash management system, because in order to dissipate energy, such elements must deform quite a bit.

Now, if this is true, would the conclusion be correct that those cab cars have a serious design flaw? …in parts which are safety-relevant?
