I remember a few years back when one of my friend's had a discussion forum (using vBulletin) and got a notice from a newspaper group about people posting whole stories. He put a notice up saying saying only post a couple sentences and provide a link to the article on the newspaper's website, as recommended by the newspaper. Many went along with that new rule, although a few didn't had a mod had to edit posts so the paper wouldn't @#$%& about it.
