It was removed between June 11-29, 2013, around the time
of the College World Series in Omaha. I do not know why
it was removed.

For anyone who is interested --
It was a safety feature, as it would go on when the train went
into emergency, thus alerting crews in approaching trains in
double-track territory that there might be cars fouling the ROW.

(BTW -- The UP 844 had a Mars light, not a Gyralite. Her Mars light
was fixed and did not move.)
