Almost none of the usual switcher restrictions apply to these locomotives. They have the road trucks with standard gears rated for about 74mph max, or at least the SP ones did. They also have toilets and most have auto alignment couplers. The MP15's were designed to be replacements for GP9's on road switcher jobs.
