These small private water taxi's are just an interim solution. I believe the operators plan to get some larger boats in the near future. The public agency that opoerates some of the other lines is also in the process of getting more ferries and they got rid of Sinbad's near the SF Ferry Terminal a few months ago in order to start construction of a couple more docks to accomodate the growing fleet. There is a master plan to add more routes in the future like Treasure Island to SF when the new boats arrive and new docks are built
