Someone in this thread wondered in any railroads ever operated in Del Norte County...answer is yes, Hobbs & Wall Lumber Company had narrow gauge logging railroads running north and south of Crescent City, parts to all of which might have been incorporated as common carriers, and the lumber operation at Brookings, Oregon, had a logging railroad line that came south into California to access some timber they had up the Rowdy Creek watershed.

Doesn't really add anything to the thread, but the question was asked...
