I would opt for an NYC Niagara. I understand they had high carbon boilers which cracked. I did see some earlier NYC Mohawks in Cincinnati in 1958, dead in the roundhouse. Some 0-8-0's and one Mikado as I recall in the scrap line. I believe that was the last of NYC steam.
