It is amazing that the smallest minority are being the biggest PITA of all. How many of these NAs actually go fishing? I have seen very few over the 6 years I have been in this area. That big parking lot at Wyeth is usually empty, or maybe has one car in it. And they still have to cross the track on foot, or take the proper long way around over the bridge. Wasco county is largely a vast area with an extremely low population density. This is all very minor compared to the effects of I84 through the area. Most of the complaints stem from people who only have opinions and few if any facts. Some of them don't even live in the area, coming from 100 or more miles away. Their testamony is as meaningless as if you or I showed up and wanted to share our feelings. The Wasco officials are afraid of thier own shadows. They can't see the forest for the trees. Using the derailemnt really has nothing to do with the situation. It just happened at an inconvienent spot and was caused by an unforseen issue with a bolt (screw) due to the effect of local climate. Overall, it really wasn't anywhere near a bad as it could have been.
