I would have thought that the Donald's new 35% tariff on all of those Chinese imports might reduce that future power demand in China quite a bit by 2020....?

Coal fired power production in China was reported just a month ago to be down by 7%.....

And, they have brought a lot of the three gorges hydro projects on line, in the last couple of years.....

Maybe this is just one more reason not to believe every press release that governments or politicians put out.....?

Meanwhile, since this is a train site, such an increase might actually require increased imports of much cleaner high btu/low sulfur US export coal, going through the west coast ports, as I've noted before.
