Even a two year degree or two years at a community
college will help move your application up on the pile.
Since the business is on the downturn I'd suggest affordable
college or even a local trade school. Makes a person a lot more
qualified elsewhere when you do get furloughed. The folks
who move up from the very bottom to management are far less
frequent today as things have become a lot more technical.
And why destroy your body doing so.
