Nudge.
You remember Hutchison's Quarry just past the old R R bridge and left off the road that led to the back end of "Q"? If you traveled north on 101 just before Greenbrae, you could see the lettering on the rock and gravel bunkers that were crooked on the bunkers from decades of settling.
I had a friend who had a paving company that hauled many a load of asphalt out of that hot plant. If there was a job off Sir Francis Drake or down toward Mill Valley, we used to have to wait at the light at 101 before they put the overpass in.
BTW. You must be a youngster. I graduated from Drake (56) and Redwood was started just after that.
Ever run into an S.P. diesel hogger out of Tracy by the name of Brent Purdom. His father was a steam (during WW11)/diesel hogger with NWP. Knew him before grade school.
Young Whippersnapper. LOL.
