Re: GGRM's ambition for the mainline

GGRM has a big problem with the egos from PLA. Those ARROGANT old farts believe they own the place Alameda Country has graciously allowed the to operate on. PLA doesn't even have a plan in place if ACE or UP need capacity expansion and would like the use the old SP line thru Niles Canyon on what the PLA now designates as Niles Canyon Railway, replacing the old Castro Point Railway subsidiary.

GGRM has always focused on the mainline and all SP type, even their people are courteous, professional and easy to talk to (they are not hoarders like PLA). GGRM is realistic enough to hold minimal pieces for an excursion train and which are mostly mainline worthy...

In order for SBRHS, they face the same problem as PLA... Arrogant old farts (some people will, unfortunately, have to die) in order for things to improve. The 3751 has ego trips that have even ruined potential trips to San Diego. They fail to follow example institutions, like NKP 765 that even includes the younger folks to participate.

PLA has been hostile because they tricked GGRM into believing they could merge after GGRM has evicted from Hunter's Point. If PLA gets evicted from Niles Canyon if Alameda Country says so, they will either store everything at Brightside yard, or cry for a home.

GGRM will do great on the NWP, no doubt, If NCRA and SMART cooperate, as well as NWP CO.

2472 in Niles Canyon was a good ride, the PLA folks will bite their tongue for letting GGRM go, hopefully, a lesson for all those ego tripped old farts that fail to share on an EDUCATIONAL NON PROFIT, they believe they are old railroad tycoons with a class I. The rail industry jokes all the time about these clowns that should be taken into a senior center and retired for good.
