It is my understanding that while Don Kirk is not directly involved with the PRR, he is supporting it. They (the PRR) approached Don about joining the management team, but Don had to decline when he could no meet the financial buy-in requirements.
Reportedly raising the investment of $250 was just too taxing for Kirk. His efforts of late have been focused on obtaining tax-deductible donations to the OTM so that he can fill the gas tank of his 1982 Ford LTD wagon. (Yes, it's part of the collection and WILL be in the Museum.)
Kirk has contracted with the PRR to loan them his "OTM Imagineering/Management Team". The knowledge and experience they hold from working on similar projects is unmatched in the industry. They are working under the direction of the Chief Visionary of the PRR, whom it appears is in place but their name has NOT been released due to a strategic reasons and a non-compete clause that has not expired.
With the proven track record of Kirk's team, and the documented ability of the OTM to execute operations/new ventures on a wondrous time line they are a perfect fit with the PRR.
