I remember reading someplace when CORP/RailAmerica (and their Holding Co.)filed to abandon they were not actually applying to abandon the entire line from Coos Bay to the Eugene connection with the U.P. but were withholding from abandonment proceedings a small portion near that interchange so as to deny anyone that might want to do what the Port Of Coos Bay is trying to do access to a direct interchange from Coos Bay to the U.P. at Eugene.
Did I misread that item a while ago or has the issue been resolved in the ensuing legalese and filings?
Thanks for any input.
Regards,
Rolland A. Meyers
