I tried to get a Google street view with a broadside look at the cars, but couldn't get down to that level of zoom.

The observation, at least, is a Pullman-Standard car. I went to J.M. Laboda's Passenger Car Photo Index website and began a search for railroads that had P-S observations.

I found a car in the Frisco page with the same window configuration, a 1-drawing room, buffet-lounge-observation built for the MKT/SLSF Texas Special in 1948. Two cars were built for the train, with each of the two railroads owning one; the Frisco's was named for St. Louis newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer, and the Katy car for Texas pioneer Stephen F. Austin.
