There is one daily westbound train on the Yakima Valley Sub, the Pasco Yakima Turn (known locally as the PYT), but it usually runs at night. I witnessed it leaving Pasco Yard at 4 AM two days ago with four units (SD40-2 plus three SD60Ms) leading a fairly short train, so don't blink or you'll miss it. I understand green SD-60s are common power on this train, and I was pleasantly surprised by the SD40-2.
Next time I get a chance, I may chase it to Yakima and then wait for it to return, hopefully late enough in the morning that there's enough light to get some photos.
As for westbounds on the Stampede Sub west of Yakima, there is one daily turn to Ellensburg. I have seen it in the early to mid-morning arriving at E-burg.
