Hi, Bruce!

Glad you enjoyed my story about riding the
"David Gunn Tehachapi detour". It was a lot
of fun. It was a last-minute decision by Amtrak
to operate this rare detour -- which was the very
first Amtrak detour over Tehechapi since 1974.
This train was, AFAIK, the very first regularly-
scheduled passenger train to operate non-stop
between Sacramento and Bakersfield -- until the
2008 Amtrak detour.

I had no idea anyone would be able to find
my travelogue, as TrainWeb's old stuff --
such as old travelogues like mine -- is very
hard to find. Or was.

I very much hope the doctors can find our
what is ailing poor Ken, and that he gets
healed soon. Being sick is NOT fun, and
seing so sick that you need to go into the
hospital is scary.

Ken ---
Whenever you see this, please know that I
and others are very concerned about you,
and wish you very well. Get well soon,
my friend!
