Welcome to today's episode of Mr. Trowling's Neighborhood. I have a word I'm going to teach you all today. It's "collateral." Can you say that with me, now? Koh-lat-uh-rul. This is when you've promised to pay someone back for a loan, and offer a piece of your property as an alternate form of payment if you can't repay the loan.

Iowa Pacific has a LOT of collateral. And there are a lot of people who are demanding to be paid back for loans they have made. So unless these museums can afford to pay a lot of money for this equipment, the people who made these loans will take any money they can get for Iowa Pacific's equipment, even if that means it is cut up for scrap metal.
