Joe,

I'm not the expert on the VCRR ops, but here are my observations... note this info is about a year old, so things could have changed... They tend to run Mon-Fri. Seems the crew typicaly goes on duty around 0930-1000. It seems that the GP15-1 (VCRR 1560) tends to get used more often than their GP7 (VCRR 1704). They typically only run on the branch to Port Hueneme Naval Base when they have work at the Navy Base. Not really sure when they tie up.

In addition to the normal train, they can run an additional job if there is a unit military train going into or out of the base. Here is are a few photos of one such move: [www.cuestapassrails.com]
