Yes, it was a GP-38-2 modified for flanger service over Donner Pass. In addition to the spinning windows ( also seen on SP & UP rotary snowplows ), this unit had heated horns and snow shields over the central intake screens right behind the cab. I recall Espee shop forces also changed out the Blomberg type M trucks for Blombergs with 2 brake cylinders & 4 brakeshoes per side.
