As posted previously, this line has been upgraded by the Point Defiance Bypass project.

The purpose is to reroute Amtrak trains off of the BNSF main line between Nisqually and Tacoma. When the new Tacoma station is complete later this year, the change will happen.

Hopefully no LEOs or other grade crossing monitors will be injured due to inattentive motorists. Some crossings used to have just crossbucks and presumably were upgraded.
