Yes, almost as good as an SD40-2. But not quite.
Actually the BN often used GP50s east of Havre and 6 axle power including Oakway SD60s west. I often witnessed the power swap at Havre. Of course they did wander west and slipped their way up the mountain grades. Mostly they were GP40s revved up too high for their own good.
