I too think the proposed service would have too many stops. Drop both Millbrae & Palo Alto ( they are well served by Caltrain ); Soledad,King City, & Grover Beach are too close to other stops; Goleta, Carpinteria, Simi Valley, & Van Nuys are well served by Amtrak's Santa Barbarian / SLO service; Simi Valley, Van Nuys & Burbank are also served by Metrolink. Transfers could be simple between competing trains on the same tracks, or Amtrak Thruway bus service.
