Thank you for your answers, very interesting, specially if SP had bought the V&T, well, it wouldn't have helped in preservation matters, but they would probably own the line from Churchill to Hawthorne and the line couldve survived from Mound House to Reno (No Hazen to Churchill SP connection after acquiring the C&C... who knows...

Back to the status quo, IF the current new V&T from Eastgate to Virginia City gets an outlet to the outside world... Say if someone where to rebuild the C&C standard gauge from Mound House to Churchill... would there be any shippers on the VandT or a potential traffic base?
