CF7 question

I just noticed that the CF7 locos at Roaring Camp have a bumper above the coupler on the front end of the locomotive, but not the other end. Are these bumpers just left over from the locomotives' previous lives as F units? Were they simply left in place during the CF7 rebuilding program? Maybe it was just not worth the effort to remove them?
