Cars for this 1984 SP #4449 trip were probably all steam heat. To operate in an Amtrak or Amtrak insured train you need a current Amtrak certification, usually noted as the #800000 numbers on or used as part of the road number of private cars.

To this day ARZC 1 (to CFNR 100) has no HEP.

I could be wrong but were not a lot of Daylight colored cars trapped on the NWP or were those a different batch?
