Answers...I cannot say who is or isn't shareholders in the modern NWP. I did not pay a lot of attention to that level of detail when that company came about. I also cannot say what the nature of the dispute was in 2001, but it should be noted that NCRA removed Rail-Ways as operator, and both parties walked away essentially saying See You In Court. NCRA was not by itself an operating railroad, but they owned and managed the North Coast Railroad (1992-1997) and then renamed that company the Northwestern Pacific (1997-1998). Rail-Way's NWP was the operator by the time trains started running again in 2001. Finally, CFNR did not by itself decide to stop going west of Schellville, that decision was made for them when the line was sold out from underneath them and the new owner decided to operate it themselves...the kinds of risks one runs when operating as a lessee.
