FF,

To answer your questions in a more civilized manner than some people on this board:

1)e-BART has been fully constructed from Bailey Road in Pittsburg to Hillcrest Avenue in Antioch. BART is in the process of hiring conductors and engineers. An occasional test train can be seen running along the median of Highway 4. An extension to Brentwood is only in the early planning stages at this time. For now, service will only be between Hillcrest Avenue in Antioch and Bailey Road in Pittsburg, with one station in between at Railroad Avenue in Pittsburg.

2)The maintenance shop is located near the Hillcrest Avenue offramp in Antioch. When traveling Westbound on Highway 4, you can clearly see the facility from the #4 lane. It can not be clearly seen from the other lanes or while traveling Eastbound.

3)The trains are made up of 2-car DMU's (Diesel Multiple Units), which can be coupled together to form longer trains. I have seen 4-car test trains (2 DMU units), but nothing longer than that. There are currently several DMU's sitting in the maintenance yard (10 total, I believe).

4)Start of service between Antioch and Pittsburg has not yet been announced, but is rumored to be some time in 2018.
