Given the mass of this set of power, and the gravitational pull of the earth, I think your title of Dr. is okay with me. the first unit didn't fly over it triggers the subsoil under the track, already weakened and unstable, to collapse......
An all too common an occurrence in numerous derailment accidents involving washouts or flooding where the track and even rails, hold together for the first unit, or engine, and then those forces precipitates the collapse of the already saturated soil below the right of way.....sort of like the reason why they stopped that ML train at Acton, last week.
