Oil left underground

One question I have not seen answered yet:
are we to the point yet where the oil that is left
underground will take more than a barrel's worth
of energy to get each barrel of oil out?
IF not, how long will remaining supplies
lest at present rates of usage?
TIA for all your help on this.
