I just cannot see the argument for catenary-less streetcars. The wire for rail is harmless. Now when it comes to trolleybuses and complex overhead batteries could really make a difference. If you could simplify the overhead hardware and speed it up. I hope as these batteries develop they are made compatible with 600-750 vdc.
