CAHSR, gerrymandered by the regional politicians and dumbed down by PB, is not really competitive with aviation. It is a collection of regional BART's connected by a backwoods detour.

What would really hurt the HSR concept(say the TGV of SNCF)would be pilotless non-fossil fuel aircraft if such were to prove feasible.
